-Melissa m3 Meretsky held an art opening @ the Factory, 301 Vernon St. and her art will be on display all of May.

The Hive, 604 Josephine St. (upstairs) held an art opening, displaying Jessica Tessier’s art for the month of May.

The Velvet Underground Lounge & Bistro, 646 baker St. (under the dollar Store) had it’s grand opening with live music provided by the BOP ensemble, www.billbourne.com/bopensemble

Vadim Kristopher Hair salon held a in-store soiree, showcasing their new hair-care/styling photos and marking their first year in Nelson. Robin was a lovely host & Vadim provided the soundtrack for the evening. We will be covering the salon further in later posts. myspace.com/vadimkristopher.

5 Alarm Funk played @ finley’s. I couldn’t make it but they undoubtably killed it. These guys are always amazing and, if you haven’t already, I urge you to check them out: fivealarmfunk.com

Digs & Rip played to wild crowd of dope people with dope energy all-night. On behalf of them and everyone who contributes to this blog, thank you for making ohshitword.com launch party and the release of Digs’ punch-dance, such a huge success. The return of Rusty was awesome and all the beasts were dancing like…well?….Beasts! Thanks to everyone @ Spiritbar & don’t forget to download the mixtape for free! from the post below.
